  Packing Tips

What to wear; what not to wear? THAT is the question!

The answer will be as varied as your destinations, the common factor though, is to first and foremost pack your sense of humor! Remember the goal is to enjoy the journey as much as the destination.  No need to pack your entire wardrobe only to have to pay extra baggage fees for overweight luggage, if flying to your port or destination.

Select a color palette that compliments your basic wardrobe.  Remember to mix and match items, adding statement jewelry, belts, scarves, ties etc. to enhance your wardrobe and provide multiple outfits using a few select pieces.  Choose fabrics that will resist wrinkling, wick away moisture and allow your skin to breathe.  Many maxi dresses paired with a dynamite pair of heels, statement jewelry and a quick up-do will look elegant on a formal night but be casual chic when paired with flat sandals, funky jewelry and a ponytail.

Think about what you plan to do.  Will you be hitting the gym, hiking the waterfalls in Jamaica, kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland or lounging by the pool?  If you are bound and determined to keep off the vacation pounds, no need to pack gym clothes for every day.  Instead just pack two work-out outfits and a small bottle of detergent.  You can always perform a quick wash/rinse/line dry in your bathroom, if laundry facilities are not available on your ship or at your resort (talk to us - we will let you know who has self-laundry or concierge laundry available!). The quick wash/rinse/line dry is a great option for swimsuits, too! Remember to layer for warmth if going to a cooler climate instead of packing bulky clothes.

Finally, remember to pack an extra suitcase or carry-on bag for all the great souvenirs you will find along the way!

Happy Traveling!
